I bought this so I could take my cockatiel towards the vet. It worked out great. He has alot of room. It was simple for that Vet to open it and take him out. He was not scared at all in it. He could see out of it but not all the way which was good for that car ride. I recommend it.
The only problem I see is that the little access door at the best is just big enough to pass a treat but not large sufficient for your hand to reach in. So, if you need to achieve in fast, you have to open the entire best and this gives them a chance to escape if you aren’t truly cautious.

This really is a stunning cage. It was difficult to put together and I worried it would not be sturdy, but once we got it done, it was fine. Bird loves it and it is holding up nicely. This is great if you’ve a large parrot you need to easily take out, but if you’ve cage accessories like seed guards that you want to hike up the bottom of the cage, the door gets in the way. The top of the cage also opens up and comes with a perch you can put between the flaps, leaving the best of the cage open as a play area. My dumb bird won’t crawl via that hole though and insists on going through the front.

I own this cage and use it while I’m gone in my semi. It is the perfect size for this and my Jenday Conure loves it. As for the latches, its truly no big beal. I’ve no issue with them. If you travel with you bird, this is really a great cage.
This carrier cage is ideal for our big parrot to travel in safety and comfort. The only drawback is the weight of the cage approximately 15 lbs makes it somewhat difficult to carry.
They suit my purposes, I know my birds will be safe in them throughout the long trip, and the cages are pretty. Also handy as I am moving to hurricane country and can use them in case of an evac.
